Tiësto further solidified his growing love for Latin music as he remixed La Falda, another hit from the productive musical factory of Puerto Rican superstar Myke Towers.

Myke Towers, one of the biggest musical exports from Puerto Rico, has gotten the remix treatment from a man who embraced Latin music over the last couple of years. We are talking about Tiësto, whose mega-hit Don’t Be Shy with Karol G is one of his biggest songs ever which is unsurprising since she is from Latin America (Columbia, to be exact). His remix for Myke’s La Falda further strengthens his fondness for Latin music. The Latin American music market was one of the fastest-growing markets last year, as researched by IFPI. The Dutch titan recognized the potential in that particular market and repeatedly expressed his love for the music and artists on social media and in his discography.

La Falda remix mixes brazilian bass and the electro-house style of Tiësto. He premiered it during his rain-soaked Ultra Miami set 2 weeks ago with Myke Towers himself joining him on stage, albeit only for a brief moment. The crowd response was everything a DJ could dream of, as they maintained incredible energy throughout the whole set, not just during the remix debut. One particular thing that is highly exciting is how these types of remixes bridge a gap between genres so that fans of electronic music can check out Latin music, and vice versa. Music has never been more free.

This isn’t the first time Tiësto has remixed Latino hits. His remix for Farruko’s Pepas currently clocks in around 80 million streams on Spotify, while his rendition of Bizarrap & Quevedo’s Quedate started a good friendship with Bizarrap. Tiësto was also called upon for a remix of Bizarrap & Shakira’s collaboration which has surprisingly landed into Shakira’s new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. Expect more remixes and collaborations with Latin artists by Tiësto in the near future. You can check out his awesome remix for Myke Towers down below.
