With the 2024 edition of Coachella set to begin in two weeks, Indio, California, will play host to numerous show-stopping performances over the course of two weeks. Artists from a diverse list of genres will bring their best productions to the desert. But there is one artist who could steal the show and be the talk of the entire festival, and that is the Saturday headliner, Tyler, The Creator.

As one of the most respected and iconic faces in hip-hop music over the last 15 years, Tyler, The Creator, has made a name for himself as an integrator and an artist who goes against the grain. A true showman of the stage who is never afraid to show his real self and, because of that, has created some of the most unforgettable hip-hop moments in recent history. After first appearing at Coachella in 2011 with his group Odd Future and then playing solo sets in 2015 and 2018 (plus other guest appearances), he returns to headline the prestigious event in the coveted Saturday headlining slot. So, as he preps for arguably the biggest show of his career, the question bears, what can we expect from him that night?

Well, it’s as simple as this. Get ready for a highly energetic set that will not have a single ounce of downtime and will leave your jaw on the floor. Anybody who has ever seen a Tyler, The Creator show can back this statement up, and for those who have not, get ready to be blown away. Tyler, The Creator, is the epitome of what it means to put on a full production from the first second to the last.

There will most likely be beautiful and large set pieces on stage that will build a world and help tell a larger story through the (at least) 60-minute set. What that story is yet is undetermined. For the past few years, the stage was turned into a summer campsite, with even a real boat being brought in to support the theme of his new album at the time, ‘Call Me If You Get Lost.’ Just recently, at the latest edition of his own festival, Camp Flog Gnaw, in November, he premiered a more gritty junk yard-type setting. There is a high probability that a new stage will be debuted, but if not, expect it to be closer in resemblance to the one from November.

The biggest question most are wondering is if there will be any new music that Tyler will premiere. The answer is, most likely, no. Given that he just released his latest project ‘Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale’ last year, which included songs not on the original record, and that he did not debut any new tracks at Camp Flog Gnaw just months ago, it seems highly unlikely that he will have anything ready for Coachella. However, in a more positive light, it has been four months since that show, and he will be closing Saturday night for one of the biggest festivals on earth, so there is always a chance he pulls a secret out of his hat for Coachella.

Lastly, Tyler, The Creator, is a performer through and through. He never stops moving on stage and is always incredibly hyped up, even in the late moments of the set. He is, without a doubt, one of the best performers in all of the industry. You’ll notice by the end of the show that he will be drenched in sweat due to how hard he works up there. Tyler’s energy radiates throughout the crowd and creates one of the best atmospheres of any live set you can attend. And be prepared to laugh as Tyler, The Creator, is one of the funniest adlibbers on the microphone that music has. He’s not afraid to tell stories, make side-bar comments, or do a friendly roast of the crowd. It makes for an all-around amazing experience.

Whether in attendance or watching on the live stream, Tyler, The Creator’s Saturday headlining set is one that you can not miss. If you want a true performer who puts in 100% effort during every second and plans his show down to the tiniest detail, then you will not be disappointed by this show.

At the moment, set times have not been released. However, based on past schedules, Tyler, The Creator will most likely perform for 90 minutes starting at either 9 or 10 pm PST. Keep up with We Rave You as Coachella 2024 set times are expected to be released any day now.

Coachella will take place April 12th-14th and 19th-21st in Indio, California. Weekend One passes have officially sold out and you can join the waitlist here or purchase remaining Weekend Two passes here.
