Emily Goldberg, ex-girlfriend of Avicii, passes away at the age of 34

When news of Avicii passing away in 2018 hit the global music community, it collectively mourned his loss. Tragically, Emily Goldberg, his close friend and ex-girlfriend has now passed away as well.

The news of Emily Goldberg’s passing in early April was relatively quiet news until an Avicii fan page on social media shared the story. The post states, “I don’t have the words or head to process it. Both finally rest, after a long and stormy battle… RIP” alongside a montage of photos of Emily alongside the Swedish producer enjoying each other’s company. The two dated from 2011 through 2013, with Goldberg being by his side as he rose from a prominent producer and DJ into a global superstar. Although Emily Goldberg grew up in California, she met Avicii during her time as a student at George Washington University where she majored in Arts History before graduating in 2012.

Following her graduation, she spent time with Avicii on tour, seeing the world alongside him as he delivered performances to fans. After the two separated, Goldberg would forge her own path, entering the world of event planning and social media marketing for the luxurious Wynn Encore Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. In recent years, she immersed herself in American and Japanese pro wrestling, becoming somewhat of an expert as she sought like-minded individuals to share her passion.

Unfortunately, on April 3rd, 2024, Emily Grace Goldberg passed away due to a pulmonary embolism. We at Were Rave You send our condolences to her family and friends in this trying time.
