Foster The People is set to make a triumphant return with their latest single, Lost In Space.

The acclaimed band Foster The People is set to make waves with their latest single, Lost In Space. This marks their first release in over three years and their debut on Atlantic Records. The single is a collaborative effort between Mark Foster, the band’s lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, and Isom Innis, another member of the band.

This new single paves the way for their fourth studio album, Paradise State of Mind, which is eagerly awaited by fans and is due to be released on August 16. The album draws its roots from the diverse musical landscape of the late Seventies, blending elements of disco, funk, gospel, and jazz. Mark Foster has expressed his admiration for this era and its influence on their latest work.

The album’s cover art, a unique oil painting on a panel, is the work of Matt Hansel, a respected artist based in Brooklyn. The artwork encapsulates various mental states, each leading to a different emotional space.

In celebration of their new music, Foster The People is scheduled to perform live at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, which will take place from October 4-6 & 11-13.

Foster The People, boasting nearly 8 billion streams worldwide and almost 2.5 billion views on YouTube, has made a significant impact on the global music scene with their vibrant pop music. Their debut single, Pumped Up Kicks, released in 2010, was a major hit, topping Billboard’s “Alternative Songs” chart and spending eight consecutive weeks at #3 on the overall “Hot 100”.

Their debut album, Torches, released in 2011, was a major success, reaching #1 on both Billboard’s “Top Rock Albums” and “Top Alternative Albums” charts, and #8 on the Billboard 200. The third album from them, 2017’s Sacred Hearts Club, delivered another hit with the 4x Platinum Sit Next To Me.

In 2020, the band released the independent EP, In the Darkest of Nights, Let the Birds Sing, followed by a celebration of the tenth anniversary of Torches in 2021 with the extended deluxe edition, Torches X. Now, in 2024, Foster The People is back with new music and more exciting things to come.
