Afterlife debut no phones policy in their Hï Ibiza residency

After announcing their groundbreaking no phones policy on social media, Afterlife successfully opened their Hï Ibiza residency on the 27th of July with no phones in the crowd.

Anyma, one half of the inventive duo Tale Of Us, asked his fans on Instagram in early July should Afterlife ban mobile devices in their events. This came as a result of social media backlash from people stating that everyone is filming the incredible show visuals rather than enjoying and being in the moment. Around 32.000 fans voiced their opinion and the results were 77 percent for and 23 percent against banning phones on the dancefloor. Soon, Afterlife announced that they will be implementing the no-phones rule throughout their Hï Ibiza residency.

This Thursday, the aforementioned Afterlife Hï Ibiza residency began and it was evidently a whole another event without the usage of mobile devices. Even with the enforcement of the policy, some people managed to sneak in their phones and recorded without fear of being caught out. As previously said, Hï Ibiza will be the home for Afterlife shows starting from previous Thursday all the way until 22nd of August.
