Charlotte de Witte unleashes ‘How You Move’, the second extract from upcoming EP

Techno royalty Charlotte de Witte returns to the charts with another shot of adrenaline. Her EP ‘Roar‘ is due for release soon. Following the release of the title track in April, Charlotte now unleashes her second extract. ‘How You Move‘ is already available on the main streaming and download platforms, via, of course, KNTXT.

Charlotte de Witte was once the little girl who changed the course of techno forever. Many years on, her career continues to grow, maintaining her place at the forefront of the genre. Breaking barriers but never falling for fleeting trends, Charlotte has worked on a signature sound that is now recognised worldwide. Fearless, relentless and full of adrenaline. It’s a mix of extreme sports and underground raves. It’s truly authentic.

Her latest release ‘How You Move’ is proof of that. It begins with a steady ride, very much in the style of this techno queen, progressively worsening the emergence of the rhythm. The vocals are one of the track’s strongest assets. Although it never overpowers the rest of the soundscape, it takes on a very interesting prominence. Accompanied by perfectly executed percussion, the voice delivers the lyrics in a cool, modern way, giving ‘How You Move’ a special urban feel. The acid synths that colour the track give it a more timeless style, embodying a dichotomy between old-school and the modernism of the other elements.

How You Move’ is a very rhythmic, very underground and very danceable track. It’s extremely catchy, which makes it easy to get stuck in your head. The release hit the charts during Charlotte’s takeover of New York, which included not only a street event but also other gigs in Brooklyn.
