Yesterday, We Rave You highlighted Deborah de Luca latest release, Mira,” featuring Frankyeffe and Nijira. The track generated a lot of buzz, but alongside praise, a flood of mixed reactions and hateful comments soon filled the comment section. Tired of the negativity, Deborah de Luca decided to respond directly to her critics.

Taking to social media, De Luca didn’t mince words. “To all those who comment in a sexist way on this post, you are ridiculous. Some of you are failed DJs who pick on successful ones,” she wrote. Moreover, she emphasized that many of her critics likely project their frustrations from their personal lives onto others. “Others feel frustrated with their wife or their job or whatever it is, and they vent on social media,” she added, further highlighting how some people misuse social platforms to express their discontent.

She further addressed the sexism underlying many of the negative comments. De Luca stated, “Those who have a full life don’t waste time speaking badly about others. In any case, consider that people never write these comments under the posts of male DJs.”. She pointed out the double standards she faces, noting how often she has to adjust her equipment after male DJs, yet male DJs do not face the same scrutiny.

Continuing her assertive response, De Luca called out the ignorance of her detractors. “You are just ignorant sexists, there is nothing else to add,” she declared. She urged these critics to use their time more constructively. “If you spent half the time you use commenting offensively on other people’s pages, maybe you could do something constructive for yourself, your work, your life,” she concluded.

Whether you like it or not, Deborah de Luca has risen to stardom and become one of the prominent female artists within the techno realm in recent years. Her bold response sheds light on the unfair criticism she endures and underscores the broader issue of sexism in the music industry. Her words remind us that while success often attracts negativity, addressing it head-on is essential.
