RÜFÜS DU SOL releases euphoric new single ‘Music Is Better’: Listen

Grammy-winning electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL has unveiled their highly anticipated new single, “Music is Better,” via Rose Avenue/Warner Records. The group first premiered the song during their headline DJ set at Coachella in April, marking their return since the 2021 Grammy-nominated album, Surrender.

“Music is Better” captures themes of hope, intimacy, and connection, which have long defined the RÜFÜS DU SOL universe. This single showcases a more expansive and ambitious sound, reflecting a new creative groove for the band. They continue to blend organic and electronic elements, adding to a catalog that has soundtracked life’s most formidable moments for an entire generation of music fans, from heartbreak and romance to euphoria and despair.

Since the release of Surrender, RÜFÜS DU SOL has achieved significant milestones. In 2022, they won a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for their lead single “Alive” and received two nominations the following year for Best Dance/Electronic Album. They also earned their fifth ARIA award in Australia. The band toured globally, performing at festivals across Europe and South America, and graced stages at iconic North American venues like New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. Additionally, they launched their boutique Sundream Festival, which held its second edition in San José del Cabo in 2023.

Earlier this year, band members Jon George and James Hunt excited fans with DJ sets at Coachella and an unannounced pop-up at Lightning in a Bottle. “Music is Better” arrives just before RÜFÜS DU SOL’s only live show this year, headlining the Portola Festival in San Francisco on September 28.
