Spotify Reveals Songs Of Summer Predictions 2024

Global editors at Spotify reveal their new Spotify Songs of Summer predictions with a surprising list of superstar DJs and producers.

Spotify has finally announced its top 30 predictions for the ‘Songs of Summer‘ playlist. Last year, the playlist featured only mainstream Hip-Hop/Latino style artists with only 20 tracks chosen by Spotify to pick the number one song of the summer. However, this year Spotify added 10 extra tracks with 4 of them being big names in the industry such as David Guetta, Kygo, Disclosure, and Marshmello.

At the start of this year, Kygo has dropped a brand new chart-topping hit, ‘Whatever‘ with Ava Max which has gathered over 220 million streams alone on Spotify making it the most-played electronic dance music record in the entire playlist. Following behind, David Guetta‘s collaboration with OneRepublic, ‘I Don’t Wanna Wait‘ has also gathered huge success with 110 million streams.

However, the brand new release from Disclosure, ‘She’s Gone, Dance On‘ is a solid contender for winning the ‘Songs Of Summer’ predictions playlist. It is a strong contender as it is drastically gaining notoriety and getting played at big festivals, the most recent being Parklife 2024, where they performed the record live. At last, Marshmello‘s recent release ‘Miles On It‘ with Kane Brown can’t be forgotten with it being Marshmello’s hit single in 2024.
