If you want to experience some great music in Europe, you are spoilt for choice. There are so many amazing places, including cities and smaller towns, that have some incredible venues and music for you to find. Some of them are historic and legendary, and some are relatively new, but they are all absolutely worth looking into if you want to try and learn as much as you can about music in Europe. Let’s look at where you might want to go to hear some of the best music that the continent has to offer.

London

Easily one of the best places to hear a wide range of music is London. Because it’s such a vast city with so much going on, London has pretty much represented every type of music there is. If you want a reggae night, you’ll find one. And if you want some classic rock and roll, you’ll find it. Leave your bags at Radical Storage London and wander around the streets – soon enough you’ll find an incredible venue with a great line-up. Or you can time your visit for the annual Hyde Park Festival and see some of the world’s biggest acts.

Budapest

The Hungary capital is one of the best backpacking destinations in the world. But that’s not all it offers. It is also a great spot for music. A big part of the reason for that is that it is host to the annual Sziget Festival, held on an island in the river of the city. This is a truly amazing European festival, complete with some huge names and a lot of fun. It’s a great place to go if you want to have a proper party and watch the sun come up, so you should certainly think about it if you are ever in the area.

Munich

Although it might not be the first place you think of, actually Munich in Germany has some amazing stuff going on. And one of the best things about it is that it is a great place to go for a truly invigorating rave. If you’re more into the hardcore and metal side of things, then you are going to be spoilt for choice here, and it’s quite amazing some of the venues you will find around each corner, so it’s well worth a look. You’re bound to hear some great stuff here.

UK

Back over to England, and there is the Glastonbury festival held most years. This is the world’s biggest music festival, taking in some 20,000 people annually. You’ll find music of pretty much every kind here, but also a wide-ranging number of activities, green events and more, so it’s really a full on festival that you will find incredibly exciting, especially if you have never been before. Tickets sell out fast, so make sure you get in there early – or get in free by finding work at the festival.
