Swedish House Mafia has premiered the newest version of their ID that features music icon Alicia Keys.

Swedish House Mafia are known for working with the biggest artists in the industry. From A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, Sting, and Ty Dolla $ign, the Swedish House Mafia always locks in big-time voices for their tracks, and they are once again making noise as they premiered the newest version of their long-awaited ID with the legendary Alicia Keys. As they played their set at Lucca Summer Festival in Italy this past Sunday, the group made of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, surprised fans with an updated version of their collaboration with the New York City native.

First premiered back in 2022 during a show in San Francisco on the ‘Paradise Again World Tour,’ the track is a take on the beloved 2000s hit ‘Finally’ from Kings of Tomorrow. Ever since that night, people have been wondering if the collaboration would ever see the light of day as they continued to play it, and now it is clear that Swedish House Mafia and Alicia Keys are keeping it alive as it feels like we have a near-finished version. The cover is a beautifully crafted homage to the original with striking piano chords, an iconic melody line that is boosted by the progressive style of the trio, and Keys’ one-of-a-kind voice gives the track its power. It comes as no surprise that the two are still working on this track, as Ingrosso stated in an interview during Tomorrowland Winter that Keys wanted the song out. But now fans know that they are making progress.

There is no official release date or announcement yet for Finally, but a new version that sounds near completion is a good sign for a song that has been in the queue for nearly two years. Even though it has taken some time to get to this point, the Swedish House Mafia has proven time and time again that every track is worth the wait.
