First wave of artists announced for Amsterdam Dance Event

On epic proportions, Amsterdam Dance Event is the world’s largest club festival and serves as the most important music conference for electronic music. Held over a five-day period in October [18-22], the festival attracts more than 350,000 people from all over the world. In addition to its music, ADE offers music enthusiasts the chance to indulge in a playground of exhibitions, film screenings, pop-up stores, and in-store promotions across the city.

Following on from their previous communications such as music pioneer Gary Numan and Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh taking part in daytime events, ADE has announced the first wave of music artists that will be in attendance across the colossal festival. Among the selection of artists, names include Belgium duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, music producer and three-time DJ Awards winner Solomun, French DJ David Guetta, and Monika Kruse.  

Musical master and icon Sven Väth will be in attendance for the music event with fellow German DJs including techno artist Ben Klock, Len Faki, Stephan Bodzin, Gerd Janson, and Paul Kalkbrenner. From the United Kingdom music producer and trance DJ Paul Oakenfold is announced in the first wave which also includes Damian Lazarus and Paula Temple. Further names include Drumcode founder Adam Beyer and Sam Paganini.

Hailing from their home country and in strong attendance, the announcement includes some of Netherlands own greats such as Ferry Corsten, Joris Voorn, Fatima Yamaha, Metropole Orkest, Mike Drama, and Don Diablo, who is currently ranked 15th of the best DJs in the world.

Amsterdam Dance Event has seen rapid growth as this year the organizers expect a record 2,500 artists in attendance for their 22nd edition. Coinciding with a vast amount of DJs the event is hosted across a record-breaking 140 different locations, turning Amsterdam one of the busiest clubbing cities in the word.
