DJ Snake hit new heights during his recent performance aloft the Arc De Triomphe in Paris, scaling one of the cities most iconic structures for a special mix. As the daring DJ stood tall alongside the city skyline, the French record producer debuted his brand new track ‘A Different Way‘, co-written with English singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran, featuring American musician Lauv.
William Sami Etienne Grigahcine paid tribute to his Parisian roots with the unveiling of his new track, which is certainly set to be yet another chart topper. The smooth vocals of Lauv send the song into a delicious drop, filled with drums and wavy vocals. ‘A Different Way’ was certainly the perfect track to see out the short performance by the DJ.
The mini-mix, which lasted roughly 20 minutes, showcased the stellar producer’s musical journey, from his pulsating breakout track ‘Turn Down For What‘,to a fan favorite and chart successor ‘Let me Love You‘. The mix also featured tracks including ‘Here Comes The Night’ and ‘Ocho Cinco’, his collaboration with Yellow Claw. In true DJ Snake fashion, coupled with an amazing light show much resembling the city’s character, the mix demonstrated his ability to throw down a unique and highly energetic performance.
Watch the performance below and listen out for ‘A Different Way’.
Paris is my city. My home. It’s the place where I grew up, that taught me life. I am inspired by these streets, a melting pot of so many cultures. I was asked to do this for Paris. To give back to the city that gave me so much. I wanted to present my journey, my music, my new song, in my city. These streets to feel it first. And to all of you who watched at home who have supported me on this journey. To the top of my world. Merci.
