New York based DJ and producer Codes has released his Pleasure EP on the STMPD RCRDS label–a collection of eclectic tunes exploring a panoply of genres, the extended play is comprised of three stand-out tracks. The eponymous ‘Pleasure‘ is equal parts moody techno and upbeat, ‘Reality House‘ blends deep house with jungle influences, while closing track ‘Tap That Ass‘ is as playful as the title suggests.
STMPD Records is the brainchild of none other than two-time DJ Mag 100 winner Martin Garrix. The young Dutch wunderkind of electronic dance music created the label intentionally to house a roster of artists who aren’t confined to a single genre. With this ethos in mind, Garrix approached curating the Pleasure EP to have wide appeal:
“The idea behind the EP is creating a powerful yet euphoric vibe to light up any party or club around the globe.”
This extended play follows on the heels of his highly successful SOS EP, which reached the top ten on Beatport. Codes will be launching a tour to support the EP, beginning in Montreal on December 15.
