Norwegian Future Bass icon Alan Walker‘s 2017 campaign has been an eventful one. In addition to performing his very own set at ‘Paradisio‘ during ADE, Walker released the energetic Future Bass tune ‘All Falls Down‘ with Digital Farm Animals and Noah Cyrus. Walker even performed the track alongside Cyrus at YouTube Space New York. Now, the Norwegian has returned with another hit with Noah Cyrus, remixing her track ‘Again‘ with XXXTENTACION.
Typically known for popular remixes of tracks such as Julia Michaels‘ ‘Issues‘, Bruno Mars‘ ‘That’s What I like‘ and Ina Wroldsen‘s ‘Strongest‘, Walker has developed an impressive catalogue. However, this time around, he’s changing things up and pushing the tempo up to 120 bpm, while maintaining his signature sound.
A welcome change, Walker’s evidently chilled vibe continues in his latest work. The verses comprise of an easy, tranquil beginning, simply combining Noah’s soft vocals with a soothing pad while relaxing water effects trickle in the background. With the subtle addition of risers and fx, the transition to the drop proves to be seamless. Light-hearted plucks and synths are backed by a solid bass to create a nicely-balanced mix.
