Sweden’s own Galantis have been taking over EDM’s sound-waves since 2012 with their high energy releases and distinct production flair. With a sound catered to house music, the duo’s songwriting abilities alone showcase just how strong their musical dexterity has become. Teetering between genres while putting an end to commercial sound, Galantis doesn’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.
2014’s Coachella performance showcased the reveal of what would become their most streamed LP to date, Pharmacy. The album, including their most successful single, “Runaway (U & I)”, laid the blueprint for where the twosome were headed. Now, 2016 and another unbeatable hit under the belts, “No Money”, Galantis continues to release hit after hit.
Their newest track, “Love On Me”, premiered for the first time at Las Vegas’s Life Is Beautiful during a Facebook live stream. The quality, though poor, still resonated as a classic Galantis anthem; Chalk full of bouncy beat progressions and catchy vocals. Since then, the minute preview has finally been released and here we can truly wrap our heads around where the track was actually headed in terms of structure. Another big plus that should be recognized is that “Love On Me” also a collaboration with Australian dynamites, Hook N Sling. This only further proves the song’s dynamic undertones and solid technical foundation.
From the looks of it, “Love On Me” will honestly proves Galantis’s place in electronic music, and that their future is certainly looking bright.
