EDM duo Slander released their new single ‘Superhuman‘ on Monstercat. Tender yet musingly sad, ‘Superhuman’ is a slow-burning, chill track, with brooding beats and beautiful, floating vocals from singer Eric Leva. The American DJs and producers call this version of trap music “heaven trap,” borrowing the melodic vocals from trance music, and the beats from trap. The track closes with hints of Odesza as the chorus repeats and ends.

Besides including it on their Ultra 2017 set, ‘Superhuman’ has been played on Diplo & Friends on BBC Radio 1 and was included on Gud Vibrations Radio, a project the group shares with NGHTMRE. Slander, compromised of Los Angeles natives Derek Anderson and Scott Land, met in college and graduated from Icon Collective music school with NGHTMRE. The trio have remained friends, and collaborators and touring partners, since then.

Slander is works closely with Diplo’s Mad Decent label imprint, with their breakout out “heaven trap” hit ‘Love Again‘ garnering a million plays on Soundcloud. The duo has appeared at many major festivals worldwide, but also had their very own residency at XS in Las Vegas, joining their peers Avicii and David Guetta at the elite club.
