Dimitri Vegas and Jean-Claude Van Damme set to team up in new film
Dimitri Vegas’ acting career is off to a flying start. After being cast in George C. Romero‘s ‘Rise of the Living Dead’, the superstar DJ is set to work alongside close friend Jean-Claude Van Damme in a brand-new film titled ‘The Bouncer‘. The two Belgians have been close friends since Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s ‘The Hum‘, which Van Damme starred in alongside Charlie Sheen.
Upon the discovery of Dimitri’s casting, Van Damme exclaimed the following:
“This is really f—king great! Love it! We’re going to have lots of fun!”
This is Dimitri’s second casting in two months. In December, it was announced that he had been cast in the aforementioned ‘Rise of the Living Dead’, the prequel to his father’s (George A. Romero) legendary horror film, ‘Night of the Living Dead‘. Belgian fans will also get to see Dimitri & Mike Thivaios on the big screen when the film ‘Gangsta (Patser)‘ hits theatres January 24.
With more exciting acting parts and projects coming up, Dimitri Vegas has also fallen in love with voice acting, after he took on the voice-over role for the Belgian version of Disney’s blockbuster “Big Hero 6”. His performance was so well received, producers asked him to reprise his role in the follow-up TV Series in 2018.
