Chinese-American DJ/Producer and singer Steve Zhu, a.k.a ZHU, has once again lived up to his unpredictable sound, with the release of his latest single, ‘Jet, The Doberman‘. While the majority of his productions are distinguishably different, they consist of a four-on-the-floor kickdrum pattern, hence why his latest single may catch some fans off guard.

In the recent months, Steven has experimented with his sound. He briskly strayed into the world of Future Bass with an interesting collaboration, ‘Blame‘ with Ekali. Now, the 28-year-old is keeping the tempo low with his latest Trap-influenced single. Full of dark, ominous undertones, brass stabs and expansive percussion elements, Steven once again demonstrates his incredible musical talent, proving that his sound has no boundaries.

In recent months, Steven has been actively releasing and announcing new music. His latest single, which is a part of his Year of the Dog Capsule Collection, is said to be available between February 12 and 26. In addition to this, his official remix of CamelPhat and Elderbrook‘s ‘Cola‘ has amassed 100k SoundCloud plays since its release. The Chinese-American also recently confirmed a collaboration with Psychedelic Rock band, Tame Impala, adding to an already impressive resume to start off 2018.
