Avicii’s final pictures surface as crowds mourn producer’s sudden death

With the unfortunate and untimely demise of Avicii, the Dance music world has seen a flurry of remembrances and tweets in praise of the star producer and world-renowned DJ. Often regarded as the poster boy of Electronic Dance Music’s rise into the fray of things in the mainstream, the Swede was merely 28 years old when found dead in Muscat, Oman on Friday as his publicist announced. Avicii was in Oman for the first time and was there on vacation. And while mentions and memories pour in from all over the music world, the Swede’s last photos – taken in Oman with fans and followers – have surfaced in the news media.

Muscat Hills Resort’s resident DJ Maitrai Joshi was one of the people to meet the Swede at the Resort and take a picture with him for his socials. Joshi, while speaking to Mail Online here, explained that Avicii was ‘happy’ and ‘was in good spirits’ at the resort and seemed to enjoy his time at the place. The image below was posted by him on his instagram and has been circulated as one of the last photos of Avicii before his demise. Gone too soon, Avicii will forever be remembered for the great catalog of music and memories that he has left behind for us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
