After the tragic news of Avicii’s death yesterday the world is still in shock. Multiple other DJs and producers, such as Martin Garrix and fellow Swedes Alesso and Swedish House Mafia sent out their condolences and thoughts about Tim’s decease. Aged only 28, Avicii will always be remembered for his amazing and humble personality. To honor Avicii’s legacy, his music, that made so many people around the world dance in happiness and served as inspiration and motivation for all kinds of artists, Swedish based Spotify decided to do something special.

Once you open Spotify on any device or your PC, a dedicated This Is Avicii playlist will pop up. Next to his biggest and most known tracks like ‘Levels’, ‘Hey Brother‘ and ‘Wake Me Up’  there are also a lot of less known yet still stunning tracks in this special playlist. Tunes like Silhouttes’ and ‘Collide’ together with Leona Lewis only cement who talented this young man from Sweden was. One of Avicii’s most iconic tracks, ‘Seek Bromance’, released in 2010 under his older alias Tim Berg is also a must in this playlist. Spotify itself found the right way to describe their new playlist:

Thank you Avicii. Your music will live on forever.

Tim Bergling might be gone, but his legacy will live on for all the years to come. We can all count ourselves lucky, that we were able to experience such an extraordinary musician and, most importantly, such an amazing person. Avicii’s music will continue to fill up dancefloors around the world and radio stations alike. Tim is one of these rare examples from the EDM community who managed to make himself a name in the ears of people around the world, even those who don’t listen to electronic music on a regular basis.

And now, turn up your speakers, dance, cry or simply celebrate the amazing music that Avicii has left behind with the dedicated Spotify playlist!
