When Swedish Electro House duo Galantis came bursting to the electronic dance music scene back in 2014, their arrival was nothing short of spectacular. Their fresh approach to House music stunned the music industry – in a positive way. Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw first met in 2007, but it wasn’t until 2012 that things really started to come together for them. After signing to Big Beat Records in 2013, their first singles ‘Smile’ and ‘You’ immediately catapulted them to the forefront of the Electro House scene.

Both tracks were included on Galantis’ self-titled debut ‘Galantis – EP’, which totals six tracks altogether. The first release ‘Smile’ was immediately remixed by renowned Electro House heavyweights Kaskade and Marco V, soon to be followed by ‘You’, that received even more remix treatments by the likes of Tom Staar, Ivan Gough & Jebu, and even Tiësto took a spin at it.’ Smile’ also became a huge hit due to its awesome, yet somewhat controversial music video, which included some explicit sexual content.

It soon became clear that Galantis were here to stay, as the pair kept on delivering a series of powerful top-notch productions, such as ‘Runaway’ (U and I) – which really meant their international breakthrough, ‘Peanut Butter Jelly’, ‘No Money’ and ‘Love On Me’ ft. Hook N Sling.

Galantis’ iconic debut mini-album ‘EP’ turns 4 years old today, so let’s relive it down below!
