Siting at number #2 on Spotify’s Global Top 50 playlist, Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa’s funky summer smash ‘One Kiss‘ has received an even more mystifying remix by the rather mysterious one himself ZHU. The original featuring it’s funky brass clad synth line, ear catching topline, and club ready bass-line has officially been ZHUed, giving the track a much more transient, tech house rendition and who more ready for the public thoughts than Calvin himself on the new rendition of the tune.

The most glaring difference and ZHU’s way of creating a completely different ambiance to the tune, the change in Dua’s original vocal pitch and the incorporation of ZHU’s signature vocal passes. ZHU does an impeccable job of remaining true to his moniker and sound with his usage of lifting entrancing synth lines.
More interestingly, ZHU’s remix comes less than a month after his latest album ‘RINGOS DESERT PT.1‘, possibly hinting that ZHU’s album was just the tip of the iceberg in what the artist has in the works or possibly event completed. ZHU’s work is never to be rushed as his best work typically comes after his frequent musical hiatuses, evoking the mannerisms and almost reminiscent of a modern day Daft Punk,. However, at the moment releasing more tunes don’t seem all that pressing as ZHU’s Dune tour has been his main focus as of recently, setting the stage for massive global events such as Gorilla, Field Day, Ultra Korea, and Electric Forest.
In fact, while there seems to be no news breaking around the functionality of the tour, there was an audio based rumor ZHU was intending to truly immerse his audience by bringing along a couple tons of sand along to his shows. Unfortunately, the radically different immersion technique seemed to have been snuffed.
