It is not a secret that Sweden is one of the top countries when it comes to electronic dance music. Acts like Swedish House Mafia, Alesso, and Kaaze are known by people around the world. Swedish DJs and producers especially played a vital role in the development and establishment of progressive house. And now, Sweden is set to boost the natural habitat of a DJ to a new level, with a one-of-a-kind club.

Set to open in the capital Stockholm, the newly created club Kvarteret will be everything but an ordinary club experience. The new venue will be located in an old slaughterhouse that is over 100 years old. The renovated venue, however, wants to be more than just an amazing club for up to 2,200 people. Kvarteret will be a place for music, art, and theatre and will have multiple rooms and atmosphere, based on what time of the day is it and what event is going on in the venue. The inaugural season will run from June until September and the first big names were already announced. The line-up features names such as DJ Tennis, Carl Craig, and Genius Of Time.

More names for the first ever season in Stockholm’s newest and the undoubtedly most special club will be announced soon. If you want to be part of the memorable opening party, you should register now! On Kvarteret’s opening night, there won’t be any admission fees, which makes it an even bigger must-visit if you are in the area!
