Other than Holland or Belgium, the top region for talented DJs and producers is definitely Scandinavia. With acts such as Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Alan Walker, and Kaaze, the region consisting of Sweden, Denmark, and Norway definitely belongs on the landmark when it comes to EDM. One young man that has made big waves over the last couple of month is DJ and producer from Bergen, Norway, Kygo. Gained worldwide fame in 2015 with tracks like ‘Firestone’ and ‘Stole The Show’, Kygo belongs to the top EDM artists ever since. Not only is Kygo releasing great music, his tracks are also perfect for remixes, Don Diablo’s remix of ‘Kid’s In Love’ just proved that.

Recently, the 26-year old teamed-up with Ariana Grande to debut her emotional single ‘No Tears Left To Cry’. The track was designed to remember the victims of the terrorist attacks during Grande’s concert in Manchester in 2017. During this year’s Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas Kygo was asked what this collaboration meant to him:

My manager has been talking to her manager for a while. We wanted to do something together, and it was just perfect timing because she released that song the night before I was playing.

Ariana Grande is, however, not the only megastar that Kygo is in contact with. British singer and Grammy award winner Ed Sheeran is also someone with whom Kygo would love to work together:

Ed Sheeran has always been on the top of my list, so maybe one day. He’s a hard man to get a hold of. He’s like changing his email every week. He’s kind of an impossible man to get a hold of but I talked to him a couple weeks ago, months ago about getting in the studio. It’s just tough to find the time. He’s a busy man.

Time will tell if we are going to see a Kygo x Ed Sheeran collab someday, but until that check out the full interview below!
