Armin Van Buuren Ft. Susana – Shivers (ALPHA 9 Remix)

Alpha 9 takes it upon himself to remix one of the many classic Armin Van Buuren tracks titled “Shivers“. It has been 13 years since Armin released his sophomore album, “Shivers” that contained the vocal-trance jam of the same name. 2005 was a very different time for dance music compared to now. Alpha 9 revisits this little piece of dance music history and infuses it with some of the energy of today. With beaming plucks, gentle atmospheres, and pumping beats, this Alpha 9 remix is gold.

Having crafted up many progressive records in the past few months, Alpha 9 is responsible for some of the hottest styles at the moment. Characterized through clean timbres and progressive plucks, this latest remix will surely be in his sets this summer. “The original version of ‘Shivers’ by Armin is one of my all-time favourite songs: it’s the reason why I started to listen to trance music back in 2005” notes Arty (Alpha 9). Describing the remix opportunity as “incredible”, the Russian trance heavyweight adds how “It’s really hard to express how much this song means to me”. In this remix, Alpha 9 reaffirms his commitment to quality trance music and does so through the reincarnation of an all-time classic that is 13 years young.

Commenting on the track, Arty states:

“I usually prefer not to touch my favourite songs, but with ‘Shivers’ it felt different. I really wanted to play this song in my live ALPHA 9 sets, but so it fitted my current sound and style. I had a pretty strong idea where I wanted to take this remix even before I got my hands on the original.”

Finding a balance between being aesthetically pleasing musically and able to fit into a full force DJ set is no easy task, Arty goes on to add:

The reaction has been incredible. It warms my heart when I see how many people still remember and love this song, and I can’t wait to share my remix with both my fans and the fans of the original masterpiece.
