CamelPhat set for Guaba Beach Bar appearance
Hot off the back of their rapid rise to the peak of their careers, with hit tracks ‘Panic Room‘ and ‘Cola‘ paving the way, UK house duo CamelPhat continue to take over venues worldwide. 10 years on from their initial formation back in 2008, Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala have reached new heights with their recent success, receiving a Grammy award nomination for ‘Cola‘ featuring Elderbrook. With early productions on Axtone and Spinnin’ – most notable tracks include ‘Paradigm‘ and ‘Constellations‘ – the progression of Whelan and Di Scala has taken them to huge venues across the world, with the recent announcement of their residency at Hï Ibiza alongside the legendary Eric Prydz. One of the next stops on the Liverpool-duos global journey is at Guaba Beach Bar in Cyprus, with the pairing taking over on July 12.
Bringing their signature blend of house grooves and infectious vocals, CamelPhat are partaking in Guaba’s ‘Soul Heaven’ event alongside Mr. Styles, Steve Altman, and BLZN. The duo have been allocated a 2 hour slot, giving them ample opportunity to showcase their vast array of material. Recent releases have included their hit track ‘Panic Room‘, and a remix of the iconic Fatboy Slim‘s track ‘Right Here Right Now‘. The latter of the two tracks has seen widespread support from DJs, including the likes of Mark Knight – owner of Toolroom Records, where the track was released – Bob Sinclar, Kryder, and many more. Their signature twist on the track deserves the support it has received, as the duo have added a new festival vibe to the track with a strong bassline and plenty of groove elements. It’s tracks like this that make it no real surprise that massive clubs like Guaba Beach Bar have booked the duo.
