At 50 years old, you’d probably be expecting David Guetta to start slowing things down by now. However, the French producer thinks differently and continues to conquer world music through a mixture of commercial tracks – hitting the charts with ‘Flames‘ – or festival bangers, such as ‘Like I Do‘ with Martin Garrix and Brooks. Whilst releasing numerous chart toppers, the electronic music legend also partakes in two Ibiza residencies, holding ‘F*** Me I’m Famous’ at Pacha on Thursday’s, and ‘BIG’ at Ushuaïa on Monday’s. This weeks edition of the latter party, which was in fact the opening party, involved guest performances from Jonas Blue, Jax Jones and LOVRA. For the special opening of the residency, Guetta even decided to premiere a new track coming alongside Showtek titled ‘Show Me Your Love‘.

David Guetta’s continued relevance is quite astounding given the amount of years he has been active. The French superstar has been bringing bangers for years, with notable classic’s ‘Titanium‘ and ‘When Love Takes Over‘ providing to be immensely popular worldwide and contributing towards having the 8th most listeners on Spotify worldwide. His popularity worldwide has led to 11 consecutive Top 10 finishes in DJ Mag‘s ranking, including the number 1 stop bearing his name in 2011. Off the back of chart success with Flames hitting the top 10 in over 20 countries, plus 4 number one placings, Guetta decided to combine his sound with Showtek to attempt to continue his momentum this year. The Dutch brothers have worked with Guetta before, most notably on ‘Bad‘ and ‘Sun Goes Down‘, and now will rekindle the fire that brought such success.

The track preview came via an Instagram story from Guetta, with footage taken from Monday’s Ushuaïa performance. The 15-second clip shows only the drop of the track, but comes across with a huge early summer vibe. Following a similar melody to the classic ‘Show Me Love‘, it can be assumed that, due to this melodic similarity and the name’s being almost identical, the track will be an updated 2018 spin on the retro track, with David Guetta and Showtek putting their own sounds together to create something unique. Guetta has infact created a number of remakes and turned them into a brand new track, taking on ‘Would I Lie To You‘ and ‘Play Hard‘ which samples the iconic sound of Alice Deejay’s ‘Better Off Alone‘. You can guarantee that the combination of Guetta and Showtek will create something incredible. The trio of producers have been hugely successful with their previous works, and there is no doubt that that success will continue with this new project.
