From tracks like ‘Calling‘ and ‘Years‘, to the iconic ‘If I Lose Myself‘ remix, Alesso‘s collection is truly masterful. Year upon year of huge performances, impeccable productions, and experimental sounds, Alessandro Lindblad has risen to the very top. Constant success in both his productions and performances, the Swedish producer has established a firm grip on festival main stages. Recent years have seen iconic sets at the likes of Ultra, Creamfields, Coachella, and Tomorrowland. The latter of the list played host to the 27 year old, with his Saturday night set prior to Martin Garrix‘s closing throwing up plenty of surprises.

The set kicked off with a relatively new intro, opposed to the better known ‘Take My Breath Awayintro edit that has provided so many happy memories for his fans. Supporting the Brohug remix of his deep house track ‘Falling‘, Alesso followed up with a number of bass-heavy tracks, before drifting flawlessly into his collaboration with Calvin Harris: ‘Under Control‘. A few new mashups later came the most surprising moment of the set, as Alesso invited Bad Bunny on stage to perform during the Swede’s remix of ‘I Like It‘. Needless to say, this didn’t go down too well with the Tomorrowland faithful, both via the live stream and those present at the set.

However, things certainly picked back up from there, with a stunning mashup of London Grammar‘s ‘Hey Now‘ and Axwell‘s iconic mix of ‘In My Mind‘. Continuing towards the end of the set, Alesso dropped Arty‘s track ‘Tim‘, prior to one of his biggest tracks ‘Calling‘, which ended a phenomenal hour.

Alesso is set to perform again this Saturday, with his showcase alongside Sebastian Ingrosso taking over the Freedom Stage. The likes of Garmiani, Salvatore Ganacci, Otto Knows, and Virtual Self join the Swede’s for what is set to be an incredible day. Until then, check out Alesso’s tracklist here, and watch the set from Saturday below.
