Home Uncategorized Beatport launches new Hype Charts feature

Next, to the popular music streaming platforms like Spotify, Deezer, and Napster there is one other platform that is the place-to-be for all kinds of electronic dance music: Beatport. The platform is designed to let you discover new music, to let labels dish out their latest releases and to let you buy your favorite tracks from all corners of the EDM spectrum. Even though we all love to discover new music that we can add to our playlists, it can be very hard and time-consuming to find the best fresh tunes out there. Luckily enough, Beatport has now launched a new feature that will help all of us in finding our new favorite tracks: Hype Charts.

Announced a couple months back, during the International Music Summit in Ibiza, the new Hype Charts feature is now live. Its aim is to filter all the best music from all kinds of different genres, to make sure that you really only find good music and exactly what you are looking for. Beatport’s Hype Charts will showcase the top, handpicked, selection of each genre every week and the top song of the week will then make its way to the Beatport homepage.

The Chief Product Officer of Beatport, Terry Weerasinghe, found the right words regarding the launch of the new feature:

The Hype Charts give top billing to those shining gems that might have previously gone under the radar. It’s a valuable tool for Beatport to promote new talent while encouraging the DJ community to dig deeper in the store.

The list of genres supported by the Hype Charts feature is not only promising but also prominently focused on Electronic music in turth. Techno, progressive house, deep house, tech house, trance and many more are few of the featured genres. Without further ado, we encourage you to try out Hype Charts for yourself and find the best music for your playlists!
