deadmau5 has just released a music video to accompany his long awaited collaboration with Rob Swire ‘Monophobia’. The track is part of the new compilation album mau5ville: Level 1. We first heard this track in one of deadmau5’s Twitch streams and it was fully premiered at Spring Awakening Festival in Chicago, Illinois.

deadmau5 and Rob Swire are no doubt two of the most talented producers in the electronic scene and have been for a while. Both artists boast an incredible catalogue of hits and timeless tracks and it seems they have join forces once again on what will surely be a massive success. The last product of these two giants collaborating on a project was the iconic dance track ‘Ghosts’n’Stuff’, which released in which released in 2009 as part of deadmau5’s album ‘For Lack of a Better Name’. The track was an instant hit thanks to it’s infectious vocals courtesy of Rob Swire, and the incredible melodies and chords crafted by deadmau5 in his unmistakable style.

The video is directed by Nick DenBoer and Kenny Hotz and set in deadmau5’s home, featuring  various computer generated sprites appear on screen, quickly demonstrating the strange vibe that the video carries throughout. Fans can also appreciate the mau5trap boss appear in some cameos on his driveway and in his studio.

Rob Swire took to his social media earlier this year to leak details of the upcoming Pendulum album, a full 8 years after the last one was released. The ‘Immersion’ album, one of 2010’s most successful productions, spawned hit tracks such as ‘Watercolour‘ and ‘The Island‘ with a host of DJs including MadeonSteve Angello, and Tiësto taking over remixing duties with their own interpretations of the latter track. the Knife Party head honcho also  just confirmed in a Reddit AMA that we can expect a Knife Party EP later this year.
