JAYKØ – The Way

Denver-based DJ/Producer, JAYKØ is back with yet another dark, hard-hitting Future House anthem, ‘The Way‘. Fresh off the back of his last successful single; ‘Keep It Movin‘, his latest work takes a darker and more Tech influenced approach. While his last single earned a respectable following, JAYKØ’s latest offering has already blown its predecessor out of the water.

From the get-go, the track’s lowly, ominous nature is conveyed through dark pads and eerie vocals, before the intro quickly transitions to the drop. Heavy basslines, dirty rasping synths and G-House-inspired plucks all combine, to create a gritty, brooding atmosphere.

The break incorporates female vocals in conjunction with layered pads and warm bass to create an authentic brooding vibe. An unorthodox kick and snare pattern help the break progress toward the build-up, as it takes a slightly faint approach in comparison to that of the first build. As the drop once again fills the airwaves with intense basslines and dark synths, the track soon closes out with a soft outro, contrasting the drop’s intense nature.
