Alesso signs to Universal Music and announces new single ‘Remedy’ to drop Friday

Swedish megastar Alesso has just revealed that he has signed to Universal Music‘s imprint 10:22 pm. His first release on the label, ‘Remedy‘, is officially set to drop on August 31st and will see the icon return to his roots. Naturally, fans were thrilled to find out that the young Swede was due to return to producing hits like his iconic ‘Calling‘ with Sebastian Ingrosso and ‘If I Lose Myself‘. Here’s what Alesso had to say when speaking to Billboard about his move to Universal Music:

“I always strive to create music that feels a year ahead, and “Remedy” sounds like 2019 already to me. So launching the track and creating future progressive music, with such a progressive team is a perfect fit for me.”

Alesso has remained one of the most influential artists in the music industry throughout his years as a musician, but some fans have always disputed whether he should delve further into the pop scene or return to his progressive roots. No previews have been shared so far ahead of the release of ‘Remedy’, but with Alesso suggesting that it is a progressive house anthem, fans will undoubtedly be in for a treat.
