Home Uncategorized Axwell & Ingrosso deliver massive set during Creamfields 2018

Creamfields is one of the most prolific festivals in the UK and it went down in a fiery storm. Filled with names like Alesso, Armin Van Buuren, Steve Angello, and Eric Prydz, the whole dance music world was present in one way or another. From the 23rd to the 26th, the August Bank Holiday was the scene for where Axwell Λ Ingrosso would deliver their special magic. The Swedish legends are household names and during Creamfields, they delivered a set of epic proportions and included a little surprise too.

As is tradition, the boys kicked things off with the mesmerizing ID; all killer, no filler. This galactic intro track of theirs has become a red-hot weapon over the summer of 2018 as they use it to get the crowd right where they want to before the rest of their set takes hold. First premiered at Ultra Miami, the track has undergone a finely tuned evolution. The sizzling bass line morphs into a euphoric, cinematic, and dreamy electronic ballad as “Sun Is Shining” rips through the choir of pads. The track has received lots of hype as fans continue to babble about the ID. Possibly made as a backup/side-kick to “How Do You Feel Right Now”, the status of this new track’s release is still unknown. As the set takes off, tracks like “DJ Snake – Magenta Riddim (Lumberjack Remix) “ and “Fisher – Losing It” take storm.

As the duo start to play their last tracks as the entity “Axwell Λ Ingrosso”, each set is a bittersweet revelation. “Sing it like the gods you are”, “this is summer”. “this is Creamfields”. Axwell delivers his usual spiel as he humours the crowd and pulls on their heartstrings at the same time. Apparently singing “Killing Them Softly”, he never fails to be a jokester and a musical wizard.  What makes this set especially special, is the fact that nearly every song is a production from the boys, SHM, or a mashup of theirs. The lads blast through the songsSwedish House Mafia & Knife Party ft. ADL – Antidote (Salvatore Ganacci Remix)” right into “One vs. Follow”. The classics, ID’s and many more capture the essence of Axwell & Ingrosso.

As Axwell says “I Love You” in Swedish, the screen displays a suspicious message as three dots fill the horizon. “To Be Continued,” says Axwell. Swedish House Mafia are right around the corner.
