Now, in a quick fire succession, the duo have again turned around another long awaited ID, ‘Wormhole‘. Their newest release which was previewed in the duo’s recent Mainstage Radio 016, had significant play-out around this years festival circuit. Featuring in plenty of sets such at Tomorrowland, Untold, Parookaville and Ultra Europe, namely by one Armin Van Buuren and W&W themselves – the tune has already had quite some excitement building around it.

Needless to say, ‘Wormhole‘ is an absolute trance classic in the making, the tunes gliding synth lines, open production style and thumping bass line speak for itself. The track definitely gives a nod to W&W’s production roots, with the tunes robust kick standing out as a notoriously powerfully notable W&W element. Surprisingly the tune sports a notoriously Virtual Self like ambiance within the builds as well, including subtle vocal chops and very a very old-time, grass roots techno sound. Paying evermore attention to their side project, W&W (and NWYR’s) output looks to only be on the upswing approaching the new year. Maybe W&W have found their niche in their side project amongst the interesting evolutionary state dance music is currently undergoing.
