For the lucky attendies who made the trip to Tomorrowland in Belgium earler this summer will have witnessed some of the most spectacular sights the major festival has to offer. From their monsterously insane mainstage to mouth-wateringly sensational artist line ups, the festival is indeed the land of tomorrow for electronic music. But the 2018 edition of Tomorrowland held witness to a very special moment and one that is held close to the hearts of most electronic dance music fans. Festival goers were able to lay their eyes on a huge Swedish coloured flag that depicted the protrait of shining EDM star and the late Avicii. Tossed high and stretched among crowd revellers to peer on, it was certainly a unquie sight.

Avicii’s untimely passing rippled throughout the electronic scene and, through the following months, fellow artists played tribute to the highly takented indivdiual during perfromances across the world. This was indeed the tale of the tape at Tomorrowland with music producers such as Nicky Romero and Don Diablo paying their tributes respectivly. Of course, these tributes were made all the more special thanks to the prominet flag appearing in the mainstage’s crowd.

The flag has now surfaced again. This time the piece of electronic history is up for sale on Ebay with all the proceeds heading for a chartiy called Suicide Zero. The memory flag has also been signed by a number of DJs inclduing Steve AngelloDada LifeArmin van Buuren, and many more. Across the flag, lyrics from Avicii’s inconic track ‘The Nights‘ read: “One day you’ll leave this world behind, so live a life you will remember”.

This loving avicii token could well be purchased by a lucky fan, but placing the flag for display could prove tricky since its measurements are 16×10 meters and weighing approximetly 20kg. None the less, I think we speak for the entire electronic music community when we say “we would love to see this flag fly high again”. Check out the huge flag in action at Tomorrowland during Nicky Romero’s perfromance below and head over to Ebay here to see how much money is going to be raised for charity. Could you be the winning bid?
