The electronic dance music business is a multi-billion dollar industry that remains a desirable network for many people to pursue a career in. While some dream of being the scenes next biggest music producer, others choose the direction of working in management, branding and production. Though it would seem routes into the business are vast and perhaps somewhat elusive, one music-minded genius is planning to host her ‘Mind Your Own Business‘ music course following its previous success in London. Amy Thomson, one of music’s biggest managers, has revealed she is planning another ‘Mind Your Own Business’ that will take place in LA.

If there’s one person in the music industry you would want to take direction from, it’s Amy Thomson. Amy has been a manager in the industry for over 20 years and her career has seen the successful individual manage Swedish House Mafia, DJ Snake, Alesso, Kanye West and Gorillaz. On her Instagram, Amy took to her story and said she was thinking of doing another course that would be in aid of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and their work on climate change. The ‘Mind Your Own Business’ course is set to potentially host at the end of April.

‘Mind Your Own Business’ was set up by Amy to help those wanting to make it in the music business. Her first course was held in London across five days where attendees had the opportunity to focus on a variety of areas in the industry. Through different classes, the course covered subjects such as managing artists, agents, master ownership and management, branding, radio and tv, image and brand deals, film and video, terminology, YoutTube and much more.

If you want to break into the music industry, and you happen to live in or around Los Angeles, then getting a place on this course is a no brainer. Check out the Instagram post below for details about the event.
