Currently a DJ, producer and entrepreneur who shows no signs of slowing down, world-renowned Dutch artist Hardwell has been among the top craftsmen in Dance music’s ongoing episode of dominating the entertainment industry. Twice voted the top DJ in the world according to the DJ Mag rankings, Hardwell has more or less conquered the world in terms of performing in all key locations as well as being the name closely associated with Electronic music. Through setups like the Revealed Recordings imprint as well as the huge success enjoyed by his Hardwell on Air radio show, Hardwell has also honed his skills as an adept tastemaker. On the occasion of his birthday today, we wish him best and look to celebrate it with a throwback to his Ultra Miami 2013 set at the Bayfront Park area.
2013 was a landmark year for Hardwell’s career, as he announced his ‘I Am Hardwell’ world tour and released iconic singles such as ‘Apollo‘ featuring Amba Shepherd and ‘Never Say Goodbye‘ with fellow Dutchman Dyro and singer/songwriter Bright Lights. The year ended with Hardwell being announced as the winner of the year’s DJ Mag Top 100 competition. But what perhaps contributed to his unparalleled success that year was his set at Ultra Miami. The UMF 2013 set dethroned Hardwell’s 2012 Tomorrowland set as the most watched live-set, raking in just over 80,000 viewers. Featuring some of the biggest hits of that year, the 2013 UMF set is assured to go down in the ledger as one of the best in UMF history.
