Jauz loses all upcoming music after failing to back up hard drive
Trap/house DJ, Jauz has just announced on social media that he failed to back up his computer and tragically lost all of the new music he had been working on for the past year. Using a hint of sarcastic humour, he publicized his loss via Twitter, at first notably distressed, “Time for a fresh start, I guess.” Followed by his recognition that “Letting go is a powerful part of creativity.” and acceptance that it probably happened for a reason.
Well, might have to say goodbye to all the music I’ve written from 2018 to now (that hasn’t come out yet)…. so much good stuff in the dirt. Back up ur computers kids. Time for a fresh start I guess

Artists such as Zeds Dead, Ghastly, Louis the Child, Jericho, and Deorro responded and sympathised with him for this crushing blow. Many people advised efficient ways to back up his computer using multiple external hard drives in the future. Among encouragement and disappointment from fans, there was the occasional, “at least you didn’t start the baby shark remix yet.”
There is some value to this… sometimes the best things come from a clean slate. Everything happens for a reason, maybe this is the universe telling me it’s time to change everything up for the better. Letting go is a powerful part of creativity ? https://t.co/KN4xqdFYMS

With new house music to be released soon, we are hoping this unintentional fresh start will play out in his favour. The community commiserates with Jauz and is hopeful that this defeat will generate new ideas without the ties to unfinished projects.
