When a song is influenced by multiple genres, instead of following the same pattern over and over again, then it is truly a special release. And this is exactly what happened in the collaboration of the two bass acts Valentino Khan and KAYZO. The track goes by the name of ‘Novocaine’ and was released on Diplo’s label Mad Decent. The first release for LA-based Valentino Khan in 2019 is a refreshing mix of three different genres, merged into one track.
‘Novocaine’ combines hardstyle sounds in the beginning, until the typical KAYZO trap drop kicks in. However, the epicness does not stop here. The song changes its genre yet again, and before you notice the second bassline with some energetic drum ‘n’ bass kicks in. The two American artists have created a stunning masterpiece, that will be both played in clubs and festivals and also should definitely be part of your playlist!
Valentino Khan gained fame all the way back in 2015 with his unique track ‘Deep Down Low’, which was released on Skrillex’s label OWSLA and crowned Most Played Track by SiriusXM. The 31-year old DJ and producer combines all kinds of genres, from trap to bass all the way to typical house music. Other well-known releases of Khan are ‘Pump’ and ‘Lick It’. On March 9th, Khan will play his biggest solo live show to date, in Los Angeles iconic Hollywood Palladium. KAYZO, on the other side, is famous for his heavy trap and dubstep tunes such as ‘Wake Up’ and ‘This Time’, and his impeccable ability to weave numerous genres through his extensive collection of tracks.
