Diplo features in new Pokémon Detective Pikachu trailer

If you’re an avid movie fan then you know 2019 is an exciting year for the film industry, particularly with the all the recent trailers that are hitting our screens. From the next Avengers film to Disney’s remake of their iconic Lion King, there’s plenty on offer. However, eagle-eyed music fans have spotted a familiar electronic music producer in the latest trailer for Warner Bros’ ‘Pokémon Detective Pikachu‘ and surprise, surprise, it’s none other than Diplo. The front-man from Major Lazer has been spotted in the trailer which begs the question, is there anywhere Diplo isn’t?

Thomas Wesley Pentz Jr is a busy man and we can definitely guess that his schedule is a constantly packed one because if he’s not playing in the club, on the festival circuit or dropping new music, Diplo’s in the latest movies. In the second release trailer for the upcoming Hollywood movie, ‘Pokémon Detective Pikachu’, Diplo can be spotted at the 1:16 mark doing what he does best, behind the decks. You can bet that this particular scene in the movie will be an electrifying one.

Diplo will join a star-studded cast including Ryan Reynolds, who voices the main character Pikachu, and Justice Smith. The film promises to be quite an adventure upon its release this May. Away from the screen, Diplo has been busy with dropping fresh music for his fans. The talented individual recently teamed up with Bizzey And Ramiks for their collaboration called ‘Dip Raar‘.
