Magnificence & Goja – Lights

“Magnificence are the future” and they are back, alongside Goja, with their long-awaited and intense new single called ‘Lights’. Alongside the release, the duo have mysteriously changed their profile pictures to illustrate a ‘II’, could they be about to drop a new EP?

Record label giants Axtone have been rolling out new releases on an industrial scale, dropping anthems from Rob & Jack, Eddie Thoneick, BROHUG and Albin Myers in recent weeks. However, none are as emphatic as ‘Lights’. Having seen huge success with tracks ‘Cobra’ and ‘Out Of My Mind’ following Swedish House Mafia‘s reunion in Miami last yearits undeniable that Magnificence are continuing to push their music to its limits. The Italian duo Goja are also beginning to leave more of an impression on the scene, having caused a storm with their remix of the Martin Garrix and Khalid collaboration ‘Ocean’.

Combining their refreshing and experimental visions for dance music, both duo’s have surpassed expectations, having created something special from the first beat to the last. ‘Lights’ is a masterful production, proving the two sets of producers were the ultimate match. Intertwining carefully manipulated vocal samples with crisp snare drums, the track’s build-up prepares us ultimately for its outrageous drop. It culminates in aggressive style, pairing a rigorous bassline and an invigorating top-line alongside punchy, signature drums.

‘Lights’ is such a powerful mix that seems destined to make it’s way into the arsenal of any DJ willing to astonish the crowd at their fingertips. Do not be surprised if you start to hear the biggest names in dance music play this mouth-watering anthem on heavy rotation during the festival season. Perhaps the Swedish House Mafia will favour Magnificence once more…

For now, you can check out “Lights” and it’s incredible music video below:
