Nicky Romero & W&W – Ups & Downs

As far as collaborations go, the past few months have seen some of the biggest in recent years. Shapov and Armin van Buuren teamed up, with their ‘Trilogy‘ EP dropping very soon, whilst the latter also collaborated with Above & Beyond on ‘Show Me Love‘. Heavyweights of trance combined there, but it’s big room house’s turn to see two of its biggest artists come together, as Nicky Romero and W&W work together to create the magical big room/progressive crossover titled ‘Ups & Downs‘.

Rarely do you see artists this big working together and merging both artists sounds so well, as often one artist shines through more than the other. However, Nicky, and Willem and Ward – W&W – have fused the progressive, melodic approach of the Protocol boss with the heavy hitting leads and festival sound that comes with the dynamic Dutch duo. Coupled with a sweet vocal, the instrumental radiates energy throughout, and is guaranteed to go off at festivals worldwide this summer. This anthem has been a long time coming, with teasers in the Instagram comments on both artists posts for numerous months now, but the result is beyond what you could’ve expected! After the incredible reaction at Ultra Music Festival during Romero’s set last week, you can see why they were so keen to release the track, and share this masterpiece with the world. ‘Ups & Downs‘ is 100% a banger, and you should be sure to add it into your playlists prior to the commencement of summer, which isn’t far away now.
