Italian producer Marco Carola has found himself in yet another legal dispute on the party island of Ibiza. First appearing before a judge in a court in Ibiza in relation to promoter It’s All About The Music SL, the company called for Carola’s assets to be seized along with a whopping €4.48 million charge in damages after an alleged contract breach. Carola’s lawyer responded by stating that he chose to end the working relationship with the promoter because of financial differences.
Now, in the second but related case, legendary nightclub Amnesia is filing a lawsuit against the DJ for also breaking his contract with them. Their contract states that Marco Carola is only allowed to play at Amnesia for the time being, meaning that he cannot play sets at any other respective clubs in Ibiza but recently, he defied the rules set for him and played a set for his opening party for Music On at rival club Pacha. This bold move means that Amnesia are forced to take action, resulting in the venue seeking a massive €2.4 million for contract breaching.
Despite the two lawsuits, Marco Carola has multiple dates set across the island including an opening party at Destino and many Pacha dates spanning across the summer which, at the moment, appear to all be going ahead as scheduled.
