Maceo Plex releases new single ’When the Lights Are Out’

Cuban Techno legend Maceo Plex is back once again with his new record ‘When the Lights Are Out’, released on Friday, May 31st, 2019.

Having delivered a special B2B performance with Adam Beyer, (after Eric Prydz, unfortunately, needed to cancel his Miami gigs), closing out Ultra Music Festival‘s 21st edition in the Resistance megastructure, and an incredible Awakenings New Years Eve performance in Gashouder, the Cuban/American producer just released his latest 3-track single including a Garage Edit and Late Night Mix of ‘When the Lights Are Out’. Just before his show on NYE, while playing around with the vocals, he received a call from a dear friend with sad news.

“As we chatted through his news, and as a way to try and share my sympathies, I said ‘I’m gonna try and make a beautiful song to play at the show that hopefully helps him feel better.”

The 7-minute track takes listeners on a journey into a dark, groovy place perfect for an after-hours or daytime chill session with friends in the sun at a beach. Playing around with synths, bells, and beats, Maceo Plex shows once again what an amazing producer he is and showcases his skill set when creating music. Check out ‘When the Lights Are Out’ below.

Born in Germany, spent 6 years in Ireland and now living in Amsterdam. My love for electronic music started in 2012 and now I'm traveling around the world for electronic music - you'll mostly find me either in dark warehouses raving to the best Techno beats or enjoying Trance with massive light shows.
