It appears Norwegian superstar Kygo can do no wrong! His recent string of success has only further cemented his case as one of, if not, Scandinavia’s best musical export. However, a recent performance at UTOPIA in New York City has done wonders for the LGBIQ community as the Kygo-headlined event raised a whopping $110,000 for various charities and organisations. The event also boasted prominent acts such as Kiiara, Cirque du Soleil, JHART and Danny Verde.

Performing at New York City’s Javits Center, the video below shows Kygo performing his recent single alongside Whitney Houston, ‘Higher Love’. The track, which is a remix of Steve Winwood‘s 1986 release, has now reached #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart, making it his 3rd appearance on the chart, with Coming Over’ with Dillon Francis and James Hersey and ‘Remind Me to Forget’ with Miguel making up the other two. The single has also jumped atop the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart, overtaking The Chainsmokers and Bebe Rexha ‘s ‘Call You Mine’.

Currently, in the middle of a U.S. tour, Kygo has performed at the likes of Electric Forest and XS Nightclub this summer and is set to perform at various other locations around the country through to November.

Take a look at Kygo performing ‘Higher Love’ at UTOPIA for the LGBTQ community below!
