Home Rezz to drop her first BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix

These are golden days for Isabelle Rezazadeh better known as Rezz. Last month, the Canadian electronic music artist announced her debut on BBC Radio 1 with her first 2-hour Essential Mix. Avoiding going into much details, the female producer had their fans waiting for updates on this for the last month and a half but finally they got their questions cleared as the mix is set to premiere this next Saturday, August 24th.

The Space Mom has started this summer season in full force releasing her new EP album Beyond the Senses on late July and spreading rumours about possible upcoming collaborations like the one with Malaa. To top things off, she’s also kicking off her summer-fall album tour, being one of the top performers in legendary European festivals like Creamfields and SW4 in the UK and New Horizons in Germany. Later on, she will be headlining iconic North-American venues such as Red Rocks (already sold out) and The Greek Theatre in LA.

Rigid Audio Black Friday

Rezz will be joining then a selected list of exclusive DJs and producers that since starting with the first BBC mix by Pete Tong back in 1993, it has welcomed a bunch of different amazing artists over the years from Swedish House Mafia and Avicii to Charlotte de Witte and Flume. Since its broadcast this weekend, the exclusive mix will be available for 30 days online as well as on the BBC Sounds App before it’s taken down, although it wouldn’t be too strange to find it later on YouTube or Mixcloud.

Let’s see what this exclusive mix has to offer. For sure, we’ll hear a lot of fresh tunes coming from her new album although it is also yet to be known if she’s going to unveil or tease any new productions for her upcoming tour. In two days, we’ll know it.
