Skrillex has many side projects, one being a DJ duo with Boys Noize. Formed in 2012, Dog blood have released multiple huge hits (with the track ‘Next Order’ snatching the #1 spot on the Beatport techno chart) including EP’s and continue to dominate the scene with headlining performances at some of the worlds biggest electronic music festivals. Teaming up once again for ‘Midnight Hour, this track is different as it is listed as a collaboration under the separate artist’s names and not as Dog Blood.

Known as a long awaited and highly anticipated ID for months now, this is the official follow up to massive Skrillex and Poo Bear collaboration ‘Would You Ever’ in his discography and serves as the legend’s first official single in two whole years. Skrillex and Ty Dolla $ign have an extensive working and personal relationship and with Boys Noize in the mix, the trio are ready to storm the music scene with something completely unique, offering a new side to each artist.

‘Midnight Hour’ may not be the style that Skrillex and Boys Noize are known for, but this is the perfect mould-breaking track that shows off their incredible versatility as artists, and proves that they’re forces to be reckoned with. Roping in Ty Dolla $ign to provide hypnotic and seductive vocals, this adds a beautiful new dimension to the overall mysterious track. With weird yet wonderful blends of house and R&B flowing through the veins of the track with a funky and upbeat yet simultaneously chill drop, ‘Midnight Hour’ is the refreshing track that the industry has been waiting for.

Proving that two completely different genres can work in harmony together, the trio of masterminds have created pure art. Although it was unfortunately leaked early, fans can now enjoy the official release and stream ‘Midnight Hour’ on Spotify below.
