Mick Kastenholt – known by his stage name KAAZE – didn’t listen to music as a kid in the typical way that anyone else would. Always thinking about how he create a track his own way or how he would change certain aspects, he heard a house track for the very first time at 16 years old and it inspired him to go and buy his own equipment. Always being a fast riser, his first booking came not long after, and he also caught the eye of Tiësto and was eventually signed to his management, Red Light Management. Not stopping there, Hardwell saw the potential in this star and signed him to Revealed Recordings, where KAAZE still releases to this day and now he has a new treat in store for us all.

Unveiling his debut album, this is an exciting time for Kastenholt. ‘Dreamchild’ is his first full-length, 12-track, studio album and is a true career defining moment for him. Showcasing his roots, he wanted to draw influence from the rock genre as his father was a big rock artist, and it shows as he bridges progressive and rock together in a completely unique way.

A lot of collaborators feature on ‘Dreamchild’, including Nino Lucarelli (a singer/songwriter who has had collaborations with the likes of DubVision), KSHMR and Elle Vee (a singer who has featured on SLANDER & Spag Heddy’s ‘Running To You’). The album opens up with a minute long interlude track called ‘The Dreamchild Interlude’ and instantly the rock influences are strong with the guitar sounds, a theme that runs throughout the whole album. The album does an expert job of showing off everything that KAAZE is capable of, and is a must-listen.
