Tchami x Valentino Khan

Tchami – Rainforest (Valentino Khan Remix)

Earlier this summer, the French record producer Tchami surprised everyone releasing his summer tune ‘Rainforest‘. Besides having a great sound and production behind, this track was different from the material we had been listening from him. Now, a couple of months later, the one and only Valentino Khan has shown up to remix ‘Rainforest’ and leave his unique signature on the song.

Rainforest, which was released via Confession, represented the culmination of the Frenchman’s label construction. The Pardon My French co-founder has been tirelessly working towards building his own reign and legacy, and by now, Confession is being just that: an embassy of great music and what is more important, a home to talented and upcoming  artists destined to lead the house music of the future. The collaboration and support from big icons like Valentino are doing nothing but strengthening that. The Los Angeles-based producer has been through everything in his music career. He has released tracks for labels like Spinnin’, Ultra or Mad Decent and worked alongside legends like Diplo and Dillon Francis. His famous track ‘Deep Down Low‘ was awarded the ‘Most Played Track’ of 2015 and topped Sirius XM’#1 Song of 2015 on Electric Area.

Having also remixed for legends such as DJ Snake or Calvin Harris, Valentino Khan hasn’t build his reputation as remix master by chance and ‘Rainforest’ is a good proof of that. Starting with some aggressive reverb on the song’s transposed vocals, the American uses the bassline structure of the original song that leads up to Valentino’s most powerful weapon and classic stamp. An energetic trap drop accompanied by great stereo sound and side chain arrangements that ultimately create a very bouncy and danceable effect on it. Definitely, a great first edit of the song.
